Thank you Jens and Andre for the warm welcom.
I quess Servo freak would describe me, I have 160, 140 and 132 sets and cars as well as the new Go, Evolution and Exclusiv. I would really like to convert my 140 sets to the Plus curves. I bought the new servo plus cars off of ebay a year ago but have not run them yet. Is it worthwile to change to the servo plus curves?
I have been to the http://www.heisse-reifen.de store but the prices are a bit high compared to ebay. The only problem with Carrera servo on ebay is that it is almost all in germany and not many sellers will sell to Canada. So I don't have very many opertunitys to bid.
I collect all scales of slot and slotless cars. Right now I am looking for HO cars by Polistil and Giochi Presiosi.

Yes and no. The advantage of Servo plus curves is that the inner lane is almost as fast as the outer lane. However, drifting with older cars (V1) is not possible with Servo plus curves. And that is half of the fun, in my (and many others) opinion.

I myself use the plus curves in the faster sections of my track, normal 140 curves in the slower sections.

Please keep in mind that the longer cars (Trucks, Porsche 956, Ford C100) won't fit through Servo plus curve 1. Curve 2 is no problem.

Well, tracks for Servo 140/plus are a bit expensive at Heisse Reifen. But it's your best source for replacement parts, that's for sure. As for cars and tracks, it's best to look on eBay.

I understand it's a bit of a hassle to get Servo parts in Canada, but I'm afraid there aren't many sources except for the aforementioned. Sorry if we can't help you more.

How did you get Carrera Servo in Canada, anyway? I'm curious.

Hi oerk
Thank you for the info on the Servo Plus curves, I will have to invest in some to try them out.
I got into the Carrera servo over a long period. At one time they were sold in Canada. I believe it was in the 80's. I had seen a set in a store window when I was on Holiday with my Wife in Vancouver. It was a Sunday and the store was closed or I would of probably bought the set. That was in 1993.
I started to collect regular slots in 95 when I got hooked to the internet. When I found the Servo cars on ebay. I started buying them. I have got all my 140 sets in canada. The 160 and the 132 came out of Germany as well as the majority of the cars.
I unfortunatly don't have any of my sets set up right now, we have moved into a new house about 5 years ago and I have not finished the basement yet.Hopefully that will be done this winter.
Thank you for the info

That's interesting. I didn't know that Servo was sold in Canada. Some sets were sold in the US (or so I've heard), but I doubt it took off at all.

Could you take pics of your sets, if you have the opportunity? That would be awesome. I imagine a lot of collectors would be interested in the differences to the european sets.

Hello All
Hope that your Holiday season is going to bring lots of Servo Racing.
I have been trying to contact the online store Heisse-reifen. Do any of you know if they can answer or read english emails? I have sent many emails in regards to wanting to place an order. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all from the cold Canadian prairies.

You bet! :-)

What address did you use? The right one is sonjasspielwaren [ät] t-online.de

Kurt's usually a little stressed out before the holidays; maybe he got your mail in English, decided he'd deal with it later, and forgot about it ;-)

If you can't reach him, PM me, I'll try to get through to him for you.
